Quona Capital closes $203mn fund

Quona Capital has just closed its fund focused on financial inclusion.

In Brief:

  • Quona Capital is a venture firm focused on financial inclusion in emerging markets.

  • The fund was led by investor Accion International.

  • It has been named the Accion Quona Inclusion Fund.

What does this mean?

The fund beat its $150mn target with commitments from asset managers, insurance companies, investment and commercial banks and more. The new fund has already invested in nine FinTechs, including Finjs, ZestMoney and Klar.
