Wise – the international transfer FinTech formerly known as Transferwise – is setting up a coding school in Estonia.
In Brief:
It is developing, as part of a collaboration, cloud-based learning resources.
The new school is called kood / Jõhvi and offers a two year study programme.
The entire course is free of charge.
What does this mean?
Wise is working to address a current IT skills shortage in Estonia, where its founders come from. Despite being home to many tech startups, Estonia currently has a shortage of “thousands” of IT specialists.
