Pennylane raises £13.2mn  

French FinTech Pennylane has raised £13.2mn in its Series A funding round.  

In Brief:  

  • Pennylane develops a full-stack financial management platform to deal with data.  

  • The round involved existing investors Global Founders Capital and Partech.  

  • It had previously raised $4.3mn in May 2020.  

What does this mean?  

Pennylane launched last year, just as France went into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It aims to centralise previously fragmented data to help businesses view their financial situation in real-time, aiding decision making.
