HSBC has launched a programme supporting customers in the transition to digital banking.
HSBC@Home will educate and upskill customers in using online and mobile banking.
It will look at digital tools, fraud and financial fitness among other topics.
Branch staff have been trained and will host live webinars.
What does this mean?
Following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and general digital transformation, around 90% of all customer contact now takes place over the phone, online or via smartphone. HSBC has announced it will close 82 branches this year across the UK, so it will be essential to ensure all customers can avail of digital services and are not excluded.
