Former Innovate Finance Head of Policy joins Clearpay

Iana Vidal, who was previously head of policy and government affairs at Innovate Finance, has joined buy now, pay later FinTech Clearpay. 

In Brief:

Vidal joins as Clearpay’s public policy and regulatory affairs in the UK and EU. 

Clearpay is the European brand of Australia’s Afterpay. 

Afterpay has been public in Australia since 2016 and is now expanding across the globe. 

What does this mean?

Policy and regulation are important issues in the buy now, pay later world as discussions are ongoing among the FCA and others about how consumers can be given the right information to make decisions around buy now, pay later alternatives.
