Former chancellor George Osborne backs FinTech Capitolis

FinTech Capitolis has raised $110mn in Series D funding. 

In Brief: 

Capitolis is a B2B capital markets startup. 

Investors included Index Ventures and former chancellor George Osborne’s VC firm 9Yards.

Existing investors in Capitolis are a16z, Sequoia Capital, Citi and JP Morgan.

What does this mean? 

Osborne has not only invested in the company but will also have a board seat at Capitolis.
