Experian is now offering to include everyday transactions in customers’ credit scores.
In Brief:
-
Transactions like council tax payments and Netflix subscriptions can be inclused.
-
The Boost service is free and uses Open Banking.
-
It will also disregard any information that could damage your score.
What does this mean?
With credit scores usually involving debt, many consumers find it hard to build a good score even if they are responsible with money. Showing they have paid bills on time will provide a reflection of this, and Experian says that 50% of Boost users will see their score increase.
