Confused.com is bringing clarity and hundreds of pounds in savings to ClearScore’s eight million UK customers as they join forces to deliver a marketplace for car insurance - a first for ClearScore users.
Confused.com is providing its leading marketplace technology so customers can run a car insurance quote through the ClearScore app. Customers will be able to receive prices from more than 100 insurers, with the potential to save up to £239. (1) The partnership aligns the brands’ ambitions to help people make better buying decisions and improve financial well-being.
When running a quote through the app, ClearScore customers data will be autofilled, making it faster and easier for them to get a car insurance quote. The brands worked together to deliver the project from conception to market in just eight weeks, due to advanced cloud capabilities and dedicated teams.
Confused.com, which already generates over two million quotes a month, is teaming up with ClearScore as part of its ‘clarity’ strategy. The strategy focuses on clearing up consumer confusion and making it easier for people to buy the right product, at the right time for the right price. Earlier this year, Confused.com also partnered with Zoopla Property Group (ZPG) Ltd to deliver car and home insurance comparison for uSwitch and Money.co.uk customers, with the potential to reach six million customers.
As well as growing the number of people it reaches in the UK, Confused.com is instrumental to launching digital marketplaces across the globe. Confused.com is the first and largest operation in the Penguin Portals Group and has supported the launch of businesses in Turkey, Mexico and India in the last two years. Penguin Portals is now the largest group of its kind in the world, helping people to make better buying decisions in six countries.
Louise O’Shea, CEO at Confused.com, said: “Our mission and ClearScore’s mission meet in the middle, meaning our partnership was a no-brainer. We both know making decisions about finances can be confusing and overwhelming. We look to take away this headache and, using our technology, give our customers what they need to make more informed decisions.
“Car insurance is particularly complicated. By partnering with ClearScore we’ll help even more customers make the right choice and save them money.”
Justin Basini, co-founder and CEO at ClearScore, said: “We’ve always believed in helping everyone, no matter their circumstances, achieve greater financial well-being. This started four years ago when we first offered UK consumers their credit score and report for free, and are now excited to help our users get a better deal on their car insurance. It can be arduous and time-consuming to fill in reams of personal details to get a quote, so we’re using our innovative technology to make it quicker and easier for everyone to insure their car.”
