Apple Card holders can skip their monthly interest charges in April.
In Brief:
-
Apple and Goldman Sachs on Wednesday announced users can skip monthly payments without incurring any interest.
-
People were also able to defer March payments.
-
Those who chose to do so will have to reregister again in April.
What does this mean?
Apple has called the move part of its “customer assistance programme” as it seeks to support customers during Covid-19. Apple Card launched in August as a way for Apple to gain recurring revenue and diversify its product range, so it will not have been gaining customer interest for very long before the pandemic.
