Wombat Invest launches cannabis investment fund

Thematic micro investing app Wombat Invest has launched a fund around cannabis.

In Brief:

  • Wombat allows users to invest in funds based on their lifestyle, interests and beliefs.

  • Users can invest in the cannabis fund starting at just £10.

  • There are 18 other themed funds including “the social media guru” and “the foodie”.

What does this mean?

This is the first fractional investment platform to offer access to the emerging medical cannabis sector.

Kane Harrison, CEO, said: “We know from our own customers that demand for exposure to the sector is high and so we’re particularly proud to able to increase accessibility by setting entry to our fund at just £10.”
