Klarna has announced Amazon Web Services as its preferred cloud provider.

  • Klarna offers users the chance to ‘buy now, pay later’ online through instalment options.

  • The company has built its core banking platform on AWS.

  • It has cited AWS’ scalability and security as factors in the choice.

What does this mean?

Klarna has grown to 60mn customers across 170,000 merchants in 17 countries so continuing to support this scale in a secure manner is vital. The company works with AWS’ compliance and security teams to help maintain secure infrastructure.
