Women are “disciplined” savers but only one third invest – Standard Chartered

A new survey into money habits by Standard Chartered has found that women have a strong intention to get into investing.

In Brief:

46% of women have listed investment as their top goals.

Only 36% currently hold an existing investment.

Standard Chartered Goals Planner found this information in a study of 1,000 female users.

What does this mean?

The survey shows that the intention to invest is there, and that women are interested overall in making their finances work better (83% save at least 20% of their income each month) – but that so far, just over a third have taken the step to invest. There is a lot of potential for organisations like Standard Chartered to support these goals by offering education and an easy way to start investing.
