Starling Bank has said it will be growing its headcount by 20%.
In Brief:
The company is set to have over 2000 employees before the end of this year.
It currently has 1000 employees at its Cardiff office, 650 in London and 400 in Southampton.
It has been hiring across various segments such as financial crime, engineering and customer service.
What does this mean?
The news comes in contrast to the layoffs we have seen from various FinTechs in recent months. Over the past year Starling has increased its volumes of contact centre staff in an effort to improve customer service, and is also focusing on its Banking as a Service model which will involve a whole new facet of the business.
