Rise Start-Up Academy to focus on laid off talent

Rise created by Barclays has pivoted its Start-Up Academy in response to lay-offs in the FinTech sector. 

In Brief: 

The Barclays Rise Start-Up Academy aims to connect founders and provide them with training. 

This year it will focus on supporting founders who have lost their jobs due to the economic crisis. 

The new programme wants to support founders to use the current crisis as an opportunity. 

What does this mean? 

Founders who have lost their jobs will experience a 20-week programme to connect them with technical and financial experts and become part of the Rise community.
