Lemonade files for IPO  

InsurTech Lemonade has filed for an IPO in the US.  

In Brief:  

• The company plans to raise $100mn.  

• Lemonade specialises in insurance for renters and homeowners.  

• It has raised $480mn funding so far.  

What does this mean?  

Lemonade has already had the backing from some big names including Softbank. Not a lot is currently known about Lemonade’s plans from its IPO but when it raised its last round of private funding it mentioned expanding and adding new products.
