FinTech Alliance, Level39, Revolut and Innovate Finance have joined InChorus to develop the FinTech For All charter.
In Brief:
-
This comes after a survey into bias and harassment in the FinTech industry.
-
The charter includes five points that the group feel are achievable for FinTechs to commit to.
-
It will be part of a range of tools and resources to support the sector.
What does this mean?
The research showed that the vast majority of bias, harassment and microagression related incidents were gender based. It also showed a lack of reporting, often because it was unclear what would be done or who to report to. These are among the issues the charter looks to resolve.
All facets of the FinTech space are encouraged to sign the charter, but early supporters also include the FCA, PwC, Checkout.com, CurrencyCloud, Anthemis Group and Augmentum.
