Peer-to-peer lending FinTech Zopa has raised £20mn from existing investors. 

In Brief: 

Zopa was launched in 2005 and gained a full banking licence last year. 

It currently offers not only lending products but a savings account. 

The round was led by IAG Silverstripe and included Augmentum, VEnture Founders and more. 

What does this mean? 

CEO Jaidev Janardana says the company has exceeded its plan for growth since launching as a bank, and that the new capital will help keep up this momentum.
