London-based FinTech Yapily is setting up its third European office in Lithuania.
In Brief:
-
Yapily uses APIs to connect apps through open banking.
-
It currently connects over 600 banks.
-
Its Lithuanian entity was licenced in December 2020.
What does this mean?
Like many companies, Yapily has seen it necessary to build a stronger presence in Europe, and Lithuania appeals as a base because of its supportive regulator and growing FinTech scene. It was this, coupled with local skills in aspects like web development, that made Yapily choose Lithuania over its other considerations of Portugal and Germany.
