Visa has announced its first transaction settled with USDC, the USD digital currency.

Terry Angelos, SVP and Global Head of FinTech at the payments giant, shared the news on Twitter on Monday.
USDC is a Stablecoin with the basis of 1:1 to the US Dollar.
It's based on Ethereum.
What does this mean?
In a blog post, Visa shared that it aimed to make secure, efficient and seamless payments in a digital coin, and examined how its achievement could be expanded to other Central Bank Digital Currencies.
