UK FinTech Bango acquired Japanese payments business for £3.4mn

Bango, a FinTech based in Cambridge, has just purchased a Japanese payments business. 

In Brief:

Japanese mobile phone network operator NTT DOCOMO has sold its payments business. 

Bango has acquired the global payments arm for £3.4mn. 

It’s also inked a deal with NTT DOCOMO to provide payments services in Japan. 

What does this mean? 

Bango is a FinTech that helps companies acquire more paying users, and it has now purchased DOCOMO’s payment services which work with app stores around the world.
