TymeBank, South Africa’s pioneering digital bank, has reached a milestone by breaking even, making it the first digital lender on the continent to do so. With backing from African Rainbow Capital and plans to raise at least $100 million, the bank aims to expand its services and reach.
TymeBank's offerings, including a zero-fee debit card and easy account setup, have attracted 9 million customers, addressing the needs of the unbanked population. Expansion plans include further growth in South Africa and the Philippines.
