Trulioo valued at $1.75bn following funding round

Canadian ID verification FinTech Trulioo has been valued at $1.75bn. 

In Brief:

This follows its funding round which raised $394mn this week. 

The round was led by VC firm TCV. 

Trulioo provides electronic identity and address verification across the globe. 

What does this mean? 

The ID verification market has boomed amid the global pandemic, through the necessity of verifying who a customer is remotely for aspects like onboarding and payments. Trulioo cited One World Identity which predicts the ID verification market will exceed $30mn by 2023.
