tomato pay launches to enable QR payments

tomato pay, a new payments platform, has launched for small businesses in the UK.

In Brief:

It offers QR-code based payments and invoicing.

The service does not charge card minimum fees and is free to download.

It charges 1p on transactions up to £10, 10p up to £100 and 0.1% for higher volumes.

What does this mean?

The app has been launched to help sole traders and small businesses accept payments more easily, with tomato pay stating that many Brits now consider cashless payment options when choosing where to shop.
