Digital payments business Stripe is planning to expand its workforce in the Asian market.
In Brief:
-
It’s reportedly added 200 new staff in the region already this year.
-
Stripe has been in Singapore since 2016 and most recently launched in Indonesia this year.
-
The company has been recruiting engineers in China, India, Japan and Southeast Asia.
What does this mean?
Noah Pepper, business head for APAC at Stripe, said that the region is fast growing but also fragmented, so Stripe will work to familiarise itself with various laws, languages and cultural norms.
