Starling Bank has introduced new fees for services offered on its Euro and Sterling accounts.
In Brief:
-
Lost cards and new children’s cards will now cost, and the “connected card” will have a monthly fee.
-
There will also be fees for opening an additional bank account.
-
Starling has said it won’t change these terms but has reminded users they can close their account at any time.
What does this mean?
Just last week Monzo announced it would be introducing fees for some of its previously free products. This comes as challenger banks are having to cut down on the free services they give away as they try to reduce losses – but Starling has said it plans to break even this year.
