Standard Chartered invests in ID verification business Chekk

Standard Chartered’s FinTech investment arm SC Ventures has invested in ID verification firm, Chekk. 

In Brief: 

Chekk is a Hong Kong based KYC, KYB and data management platform. 

It joins the company’s funding round announced in June last year, which raised millions of dollars and was led by HSBC. 

Chekk already has a partnership with SC Ventures. 

What does this mean?

SC Ventures aims to help accelerate Chekk’s product development and boost sales, with Head of SC Ventures Alex Manson praising its “real time data collection delivering a digital advantage across multiple stakeholders”.
