Shares, a European “community based” investing app has raised $40mn Series B funding.
In Brief:
This follows the launch of the Paris-based business into the UK market in May.
Shares, which enables customers to invest and share their investment journey with friends, now has 150,000 users.
The round was led by Valar Ventures and included Global Founders Capital and Singular.
What does this mean?
This brings Shares’ total funding raised to $90mn. The company plans to use the fresh funding to continue its expansion across Europe. While growing its community who prefer to share their investing journey with connections in a social media-like setting, it will also look to add crypto-asset opportunities.
