Scotland’s FinTech sector has boomed during the Covid pandemic

FinTech-focused small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has increased by more than 50 per cent during the past 18 months.
FinTech Scotland community grew from 119 in March 2020 to 181 today.
FinTech Scotland to launch a new SME advisory board made up of leaders from the local FinTech community including Jude Cook (ShareIn), James Varga (DirectID) and Loral Quinn (Sustainably).
What does this mean?
This growth would seem to reflect the increase in demand for financial technologies as the economy and society adapts to an expanding digital environment driven in no small part by the challenges of the Covid pandemic.
