Since 9 December Revolut has seen over 325 companies join the waitlist for its Revolut People HR platform that it started licensing out at the end of 2023.
In brief:
- In December the fintech giant announced it would be turning its in-house HR system into a product for third parties to adopt in a novel move to diversify revenue streams.
- The software is currently available in the UK and Ireland ahead of a European Economic Area rollout in the second half of January.
- The fintech launched Revolut People last month, which offers tools for companies to manage hiring and performance management on a single platform.
What does this mean?
“The success of the company has a lot to do with how happy people are feeling within the company. Revolut People is not just about us; we want other firms to manage their people in an efficient way as well,” Revolut's head of people product Georgian-Andrei Oprisor said. “Even if one of our competitors gets our product, we are absolutely fine. I think it would make the competition fair. If you can utilise this product for your success, good for you.”
