UK FinTech Revolut is broadening out its crypto offering with 22 new tokens.
In Brief:
Revolut, which aims to be a “superapp” is adding 22 new tokens to its offering which enables customers to “buy, sell or send” cryptocurrencies.
In 2021, Revolut increased the number of tokens sixfold to 60 cryptocurrencies.
Now, it totals over 80 tokens — including two DeFi tokens and the Metaverse token.
What does this mean?
The addition of 22 new tokens seeks to “reinforce” Revolut’s offering as a superapp. The FinTech is responding to consumer interest in investing in a wide range of cryptocurrencies despite the current economic downturn.
Emil Urmanshin, Crypto General Manager at Revolut, said: “This is another big year of crypto, and we’ve given a big boost to our offering while empowering people to take more control of their finances and giving them safe access to new tools and services being built in crypto the space.”
