PayPal-backed Raisin launches savings platform in Ireland

Berlin based FinTech Raisin has launched Raisin.ie

In Brief:

  • Raisin will launch its Irish savings deposit platform offering up to 1.2% interest.

  • The FinTech connects users to the wider European Economic Area so they can choose the best retail interest rate.

  • Since its launch, Raisin has delivered about €1115mn in interest to over 200 savers.

What does this mean?

Interest rates in Ireland are currently poor, but Raisin allows Irish savers to access options across the continent so they can earn the highest possible rate on their deposits.  Irish banks will be able to integrate Raisin’s offers into their own platforms.
