Sweep, an open banking platform aimed at SMEs, has announced it raised £900,000 through investments and grants.
In Brief:
-
Sweep enables smaller businesses to manage expenses and travel.
-
It has raised £250,000 funds in a Seedrs round, backed by the British Business Bank’s Future Fund.
-
Earlier this year, it also raised £456,000 through a grant from Innovate UK.
What does this mean?
Exhibiting strong growth despite the pandemic, Sweep may have seen a lot of success based on the difficulties SMEs have faced with their cash flow this year. CEO Billel Ridelle commented that the company hopes to continue driving product innovation through open banking in 2021.
