New research from Nucoro, the London based FinTech company focused on delivering innovative investment and savings solutions, has found an increase in first-time users of banking apps.
The FinTech can reveal that between 14 March and 14 April, because of the Coronavirus lockdown, around 12% of the adult population in the UK - some six million people - downloaded their bank’s app for the first time. Some 21% of those aged 34-35 did this, as did just over 5% of people aged 55 or more.
The findings showed:
- 6% of people who don’t yet have their bank’s app plan to download it in the next three months
- 22% of people are using their banking apps more compared to 5% who are using them less
