NatWest has added QR code-based payment requests to its business banking app.
In Brief:
A QR-based version of its online payment service PayIt is being launched.
This aims to help businesses receive faster payments from invoices.
PayMe is a new feature that allows businesses to send a link or QR code for payers with a UK bank account.
What does this mean?
Suitable for payments of up to £50,000, Faster Payments is being used by PayMe to enable businesses to settle payments in “near-real time”. It means payment requests can be shared over a variety of communications like WhatsApp, Facebook or email as well as being embedded in an invoice.
