Monzo is set to hire a new Diversity and Inclusion Director, according to TechCrunch journalist Steve O’Hear.
In Brief:
O’Hear tweeted that Kirsten Doherty is to take on the role next month.
Doherty was previously Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Accenture.
Monzo appointed its first Head of Diversity and Inclusion in 2019.
What does this mean?
In Monzo’s latest D&I report it outlined that inclusion is an important part of its goal to “make money work for everyone” - saying it’s therefore necessary to “make working at Monzo work for everyone”. It outlined an increase in the percentage of women in the firm, as well as variety of nationalities, and mentioned its goals for 2020-2021 under the headings “engage”, “retain” and “grow”.
