Mastercard is building on its partnership with B2B financial management tool ANNA Money.
In Brief:
-
The two businesses have worked together since ANNA’s launch in 2018.
-
ANNA offers a mobile business account and virtual assistant with a Mastercard.
-
Mastercard wants to offer “value added services” to ANNA’s startup, freelance and SME customers.
What does this mean?
According to Mastercard, the next steps are for ANNA to become a licensed EMI and Mastercard Principal Member. It will then become a direct issuer. Since ANNA has been migrating away from Wirecard, it will look to obtain an e-money license and eventually wants a full banking licence.
