Klarna is back to profitability following a 30 per cent upswing in revenue to SEK 6bn ($555m) in the third quarter of 2023 compared with the same period in 2022.

-The long-term CEO and founder of Klarna Sebastian Siemiatkowski said at the end of last year the firm would return to profitability by the end of 2023.
-In the three months to 31 October, Klarna recorded a SEK 0.1bn ($9.1m) profit, its first since 2019. In the same period last year, Klarna reported a SEK 2bn ($180m) loss, when quarterly losses had doubled from 2021.
-Klarna also revealed its partnership with Airbnb will be rolled out for consumers in seven new countries while its partnerships with European fashion retailer Zalando and design retailer YOOX have continued apace.
