Buy now, pay later platform Klarna has launched an “experiential activation” about social media marketing.
In Brief:
The installation is a double decker bus, based in Manchester.
It aims to increase awareness around current social media rules.
It will help customers understand if what they are seeing on social media is an advert.
What does this mean?
This follows from Klarna’s development of an Influencer Council to combat irresponsible and unclear advertising on social media platforms, especially where financial products are concerned. It has recently released a whitepaper and a toolkit to help influencers engage with the public in the right way.
It’s also hoped the installation will be “instagrammable”, providing more publicity for the growing brand.
