JP Morgan has opened up the “Onyx Lounge” in the Ethereum-powered metaverse, Decentraland.

It’s the first major bank to enter the metaverse.
Its virtual lounge features a portrait of Jamie Dimon, as well as a tiger.
The bank has also released a report entitled “Opportunities in the metaverse”.
What does this mean?
The lounge is called Onyx after the bank’s current Ethereum-based offering. Making its first foray into the metaverse, JP Morgan says it will have the opportunity to operate as a bank in the virtual world in the future.
