Satispay, a digital payments FinTech based in Milan, has gained €93mn in a new funding round.  

In Brief:  

• This brings the total raised by Satispay to €110mn.  

• The round included Tencent Holdings, LGT LIghtstone and TIM Ventures.  

• Square is said to have invested €15mn.  

What does this mean?  

Satispay is currently the largest Italian mobile payment provider and has deals with notable supermarkets and restaurants. It will use the fresh funds to expand across Italy and beyond.
