EY’s Global FinTech Adoption Index has seen a sharp increase in Irish FinTech users.
In Brief:
-
71% of Irish adults now use FinTech services.
-
This is higher than the global average of 64%.
-
The figures have increased from the 26% recorded two years ago, which was then 7% below the national average.
What does this mean?
Unsurprisingly, EY has stated the most common age group to use FinTech is 25-34. The increase has been driven by the better rates and fees available as well as ease of use.
