The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) has hired its first Head of FinTech and Digitalisation.
In Brief:
Georgina Jarratt will be responsible for the association’s tech-themed initiatives.
Jarratt was previously at HSBC where she headed up transformation in private banking.
This new role recognises the growing influence of technology in the capital markets sector.
What does this mean?
Some of the initiatives Jarratt will head up include the Common Domain Model for repo and bonds, and the Common Data dictionary for primary bond markets – as well as some projects around DLT and blockchain.
