A recent report by KPMG has found FinTech investment in the UK almost doubled since least year.
In Brief:
-
The number of deals in the UK has reached a sixyear high.
-
The country accounted for half the top 10 deals across Europe.
-
British FinTech companies accounted for 91% more than in 2018.
What does this mean?
The number and value of UK FinTech deals has risen despite global decline, says KPMG’s Pulse of FinTech report. The UK took more than 80% of total European investment, but a lot of its figures did depend on Softbank’s $800mn investment in Greensill last year – the largest funding round the country has seen.
