Open banking FinTech Bud has partnered with First Directfor transaction data.
In Brief:
Bud’s data capabilities will add transaction categorisation and merchant identification to First Direct’s app.
Transactions will be put into one of over 100 categories.
The merchant identification service can distinguish between around 3000 UK merchants and display logos.
What does this mean?
This is an extension of an existing partnership between Bud and First Direct which has existed since 2018. It’s hoped that Bud’s capabilities will enable First Direct to offer customers more insights into their spending.
