Varun Paul, former Head of FinTech at the Bank of England, has joined Fireblocks.

Paul will join as director of central bank digital currency (CBDC) and market infrastructure.
He will be in charge of building the infrastructure for the integration of CBDCs.
What does this mean?
Varun Paul was at the Bank of England for 14 years and spent just over a year as Head of FinTech, he brings the experience from a central bank as well as relationships with market bodies to help Fireblocks look into the benefits of supporting digital assets and put this across to institutions.
