Zodia Markets, a cryptocurrency brokerage backed by Standard Chartered, has launched.
The digital asset trading business has been approved by the FCA.
Zodia Markets operates a crypto exchange platform providing electronic trading services.
It was established in 2021 by Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures alongside BC Technology Group.
What does this mean?
This is the first time a digital asset trading business supported by a leading bank has been registered with the FCA, reports Finextra. Zodia Markets can now launch in the UK and aims to provide “secure, reliable and compliant access to digital assets for its institutional client base”, says Alex Manson, Head of SC Ventures.
