Payments provider Contis is rolling out an instant issue card programme.
In Brief:
-
It will allow quick, safe access to money during the global crisis.
-
Credit union members will now get a crisis loan approved quickly and issued on a contactless card.
-
This is done through Contis’ community banking division, Engage, which has 150 credit union partners.
What does this mean?
This will not only make it easier for people to access finance at a vital time, but it will mean no handling of cash needs to take place so this can be done as safely as possible.
Managing Director of Engage, Goeff Leech, said: “We’re doing everything we can to help vulnerable people at this difficult time. The financially excluded rely most on cash and are hardest hit in the current climate. Quick, safe and secure access to money is essential, so we have rolled out a range of measures to get contactless cards in people’s hands as quickly as possible.”
