Coinbase, PayPal team up on cryptocurrency 

Coinbase is enabling users to buy cryptocurrencies via PayPal. 

In Brief:

Its customers in the US will be able to use their PayPal accounts to buy digital tokes like Bitcoin. 

Customers will be able to choose PayPal as a payment option on the Coinbase platform. 

It will be expanded outside of the US later this year, Coinbase says.

What does this mean? 

Coinbase says in a blog announcing the development that it recognises cryptocurrencies are becoming more widely used. Eddie Lo, Product Manager, says “buying crypto should be simple and easy”, and that PayPal offers a “familiar and trusted experience as you explore the world of crypto”.
