FinTech Alliance company Bankable has announced a strategic collaboration with Visa.
In Brief:
-
Bankable will provide Visa’s clients in the US access to its real time, modular Bankingas-a-Service solution.
-
The company will open an office in New York to serve as its US hub.
-
The commercial team will initially focus on B2B payments.
What does this mean?
The company hopes to accelerate strategic initiatives across corporations, banks and FinTechs based in the US. It already has American clients but according to CEO Eric Mouilleron, more than 50% of revenue is anticipated to come from the US by 2024.
Speaking to FinTech Alliance late last year, Mouilleron said: “For us, the priority is to go global. You can be small and go global these days: it’s not like before when you had to be 1,000 people to start opening a branch… All the FinTechs want to go global one day and will be able to go global on day one with us.”
