The Bank of London, the newest clearing bank in the UK, has announced investment in Belfast.

It will open up a “centre of excellence” in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This will create 232 new jobs by 2026.
The company currently consists of payments leader, software engineers and operations experts and is currently hiring 54 new people.
What does this mean?
The $1.1bn valued company says Belfast is “the UK’s gateway city to the European Union” and that it has strong talent. The bank’s expansion will be in addition to its current locations in New York and London.
